Friday Funday!

We are having a busy day today with lots of friends, including another new one. Mauby (Sheltie/Eskimo mix) is here for her first day. She is still getting used to us, and totally lucked out by coming on a nice morning. We had the overhead doors open, so we could all run in and out as we pleased. The doors are already closed up for the afternoon. Bummer. Tiki (Golden Retriever) and Cooper (Golden Retriever) played together. "Mini" Cooper (Maltese) was back for his second day. He loved being outside and would venture back inside a little. He announced each time a train came by and seemed to have a great time with his friends. Chase (Lab / Border Collie) seems to like Mini Cooper a lot. Trisha (Lab/Hound) and Dolly (Lab/Hound) are making great strides in their potty training. There was only one accident between the two of them all morning.
Over in the big room, they are all exhausted. Jager (German Shorthair Pointer) has so much energy and everyone else tried to keep up with him. Hank (Shepherd mix) was ready to take a nap by mid-morning, but he kept pushing himself. Molly (Mountain Cur) loved being in a room of crazy dogs. She had a big grin on her face when I peeked in at her. Blitz (Bearded mix) played mostly with Hank and Jager. Even Poppy (Bearded collie formerly known as Molly) was too tired to keep chasing the ball by the end of the morning. Midnight (Lab) was with the big dogs today. She also seems to have a big smile all day.
Jackson (Border Collie), Mason (Border Collie) and Sage (Pug) joined us later in the day and will have a blast all afternoon, I'm sure.

It's Midnight all day.

We are having such a good time with Midnight (Lab) again today. She and Koco (Lab) are really wearing each other out. Dodger (Golden Retriever) thinks they are very silly girls, and I have to agree. He ran around with them but wasn't interested in recreating WWE matches with them. Chico (Lhasa Poo) ran around with Dodger and flirted some with Callie (Sheltie). She stills plays hard to get with him. Trisha (Lab/Hound) and Dolly (Lab/Hound) curled up for a mid-morning nap with Tiki (Golden Retriever) but found time to run and wrestle, too. Molly (Mountain Cur) came back for another day today. She seems to have an extra little prance in her step today, maybe because she knows she still looks so good from her bath yesterday? She spent most of her time hanging out with Chico and Callie. We had a visit from Oliver (Yorkshire Terrier) who is going to start coming to play with us. He met a bunch of us, but I think I was his favorite.

Get well soon Lily!

Lily (Weimeraner) is home sick today, so I want to send her good wishes for a speedy recovery. Hopefully we will see her next week!
We are welcoming Midnight (Lab) for her first day with us. She is full of energy and is keeping JJ (Lab mix) busy. JJ seemed sad that he came on a day without Koco, but Midnight has helped him forget. They are both going to be so tired! Molly (Mountain Cur) is having a little spa time during nap today. She is always so happy to come see us. I wonder if she would walk herself in from the parking lot if her parents let her. Probably, but no one is taking any chances with the train tracks across the street.
Two other high energy friends are here today, Mattie (English Bulldog) and Sage (Pug)! Mattie was so happy to see JJ, too. He's becoming quite the ladies man around here. I know I'll always have a special place in his heart though. Trisha (Lab/Hound) and Dolly (Lab/Hound) had seemed a little sad yesterday but were perky and playful again today.
We had a visit this morning from Cyrus (Miniature Pinscher) who came for a spa treatment. He left with a super shiny coat, clean ears and a fresh pedicure.

Welcome Cooper!

We have another new friend today, Cooper (Maltese). He is a little nervous about the floors, but can really run and play hard outside. He wrestled and ran with Tiki (Golden Retriever) and Guinness (Terrier mix). Molly (Beagle) watched the show and took breaks on the bench and bed inside with Cooper. Trisha (Lab/Hound) and Dolly (Lab/Hound) think Cooper is really cute. They are hoping to play some more with him later this week. Molly (Mountain Cur) joined us just in time for a little play time before naps. She's ready to run this afternoon.
In the large room, the little lovebirds were back together. JJ (Lab mix) and Koco (Lab mix) played nicely. They also played some with Blitz (Bearded mix) and Chloe (Great Pyrenees), especially outside. The long haired dogs love the cool weather! Molly (Bearded Collie) and Mason (Border Collie) took turns chasing balls. Jackson (Border Collie) likes to run around with a toy in his mouth and keeps everything in order. He stops for some loving from Barbara (Human) and Renee (Human) from time to time.
Thanks Ed (Human) for hanging out in the small room again today! He has started visiting us on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Reba has a new home!

Our foster friend Reba was adopted this weekend! She now lives in Massachusetts and seems to really like her new mom and dad. We're hoping Trisha (Lab/Hound) and Dolly (Lab/Hound) find homes soon, too. They were so busy playing today that I'm not sure if they even noticed that Reba is gone. They were playing with Cooper (Golden Retriever), Tiki (Golden Retriever), and Koco (Lab). Koco also played ball with Mason (Border Collie) for the first time. Jackson (Border Collie) and Molly (Mountain Cur) kept an eye on the little ones. Chico (Lhasa Poo) likes to hang out with Jackson and help patrol the room. They must walk/run a few miles over the course of the day. Keeva (Lab Mix) joined us this morning for a little play time before her spa day. She looked so shiny and pretty when her mom came to pick her up. My mommy tried to give her treats because she was so good for her nail trim, but she wouldn't eat. I can't believe someone would pass up food. Keeva played well with Koco. Keeva's mom knows JJ's grandma, so she knew about Koco, who is JJ's girlfriend. Chloe (Great Pyrenees) joined us to play this afternoon and loves to be outside. She certainly has the coat for cool weather.

Mommy says I should say hi to Judy (Koco's grandma) in my blog today. Apparently she's a great fan!

Happy 1st Birthday Laiken!

I am taking a day off from the Lodge because my little girl is turning one today! Happy birthday Laiken! I hope Renee and Deb are able to run things today without me there to help. Mommy says they can handle it.

The return of Mattie

We are having another great day here at the Lodge. Our friend Mattie (English Bulldog) had been away for a while and is back today. We really missed her, and I think she missed us, too. She played hard with JJ (Lab mix), Koco (Lab) in the big room then spent some time with us in the small room, too.
Back in the big room: JJ and Koco played together. Dodger (Golden Retriever) and Blitz (Bearded Collie mix) played together. Molly (Bearded Collie) and Mason (Border Collie) took turns retrieving balls and toys. Jackson (Border Collie) tried to keep order in the room, while Molly (Mountain Cur) oversaw the crowd. It is a great group!
In the small room: I played with Mattie, Indie (Carolina Dog), Molly (Beagle), Cooper (Golden Retriever), Tiki (Golden Retriever), Chico (Lhasa Poo), Reba (Lab/Hound), Trisha (Lab/Hound) and Dolly (Lab/Hound). Indie has really come out of her shell. She is running around, playing with us all. Trisha learned a new trick. She can climb up the crates to stand on top. What a little monkey! Chico tried to keep up with the ball chasing level from the big room, but that may be too much for him to do. He likes to take a break from ball chasing, while Molly and Mason do not.

I didn't post yesterday, so I'll summarize our day. Mason and Jackson were here, along with Lily (Weimeraner), Indie, Tiki, Reba, Trisha, Dolly and Sage (Pug). We were all perfect angels all day. :) Sage was good for her pedicure. She got to eat peanut butter as a reward. She didn't offer to share with me. Doesn't she know I love food?

Welcome Indie and Forrest!

I love welcoming new friends to the Lodge! Today we have two new faces in the small room, Forrest (German Shepherd) and Indie (Carolina Dog). They are both a lot of fun to be around and seem to like playing together, too. They also played with Rowdy (Boxer), Chico (Lhasa Poo), Tiki (Golden Retriever), Reba (Lab/Hound), Trisha (Lab/Hound), and Dolly (Lab/Hound). Rounding out the crowd today were Molly (Beagle), Molly (Yorkie/Bichon), and Guinness (Terrier Mix). Guinness' favorite thing is running up and down the ramp outside. He really has some speed. Some times we race, and it's always close.
In the large room we have Breezie (Boxer), JJ (Lab mix), Koco (Lab), Jackson (Border Collie) and Mason (Border Collie). They are a really active group and love to run, just like Guinness. :)

Catch up day

I was too spooked on Friday the 13th to make a post. I'll get you all caught up though.

On Friday, we had Mason (Border Collie), Jackson (Border Collie), Koda (Shepherd mix), Fifi (Pomeranian), Molly (Mountain Cur), Tiffany (Cocker Bichon), Reba (Lab/Hound), Trisha (Lab/Hound) and Dolly (Lab/Hound). The border collies ran and chased balls and toys. The rest of us ran around a little and snuggled a lot.

Over the weekend, we had a good group of dogs for daycare and boarding: Destiny (American Pit Bull Terrier), Dozer (English Bulldog), Mason (Border Collie), Jackson (Border Collie), Tiffany (Cocker Bichon), Koda (Shepherd Mix), Winnie (Staffordshire Terrier), Knuckles (Boxer), and Fifi (Pomeranian). I visited for just a few hours on Saturday.

Now for today! Hank (Shepherd mix) and Koco (Lab) wrestled and played together in the big room. The only break they took from playing was to try chewing on the mattress. Oops! Mommy was able to just tape the hole they made, so they aren't in big trouble. Winnie (Staffordshire Terrier) and Koda (Shepherd mix) are best friends. They love to play together. They don't mind including the rest of us in their little group though. Tiki (Golden Retriever) and Cooper (Golden Retriever) are in love as always. They are both disappointed that they didn't get to spend Valentine's Day together. Tiki really likes playing tug with Winnie. She's hoping Winnie comes back to play again soon. Reba, Dolly and Trisha (Lab/Hound mixes) all got baths and nail trims today. They are hoping to find their forever homes soon. Fifi (Pomeranian) likes to watch the crowd from the bench. Sometimes Dolly snuggles with her up there.

I think that gets everyone all caught up again. Tomorrow will be a busy day, so I'm going to go take my nap now. Oh, I almost forgot, the picture is of Winnie. She always looks so happy.

We're celebrating Valentine's Day early.

Thanks JJ's mom for baking us yummy Valentines goodies! We all got to share them at nap time and think they are pretty good. Here's a picture of Molly (Mountain Cur) getting her goodies from Barbara (Human) before going to sleep in her crate.

What a windy day here at the Lodge! I can't believe none of us small dogs blew away when we were out for our potty breaks. Playing with me today are Molly, Chico (Lhasa Poo), Cooper (Golden Retriever), Tiki (Golden Retriever), Tiffany (Cocker Bichon), Trisha (Lab/Hound), Reba (Lab/Hound), and Dolly (Lab/Hound). Chico and Tiffany may have a budding romance. They hung out together on the bench a lot this morning.
Things were much rowdier in the large dog room. We had Hank (Shepherd mix), JJ (Lab), Koco (Lab), Bingo (Border Collie mix), Dodger (Golden Retriever), Molly (Bearded Collie), and Blitz (Bearded mix). Bingo played well with everyone. He really likes wrestling and getting pinned by Blitz. He also loves to run around and smile while everyone chases him. He is going to be so tired tonight. (My mommy says that makes people happy.) JJ and Koco are an inseparable pair. JJ played hard with Hank until Koco arrived. Dodger and Hank played together the rest of the morning. Dodger played some with Blitz and Bingo, too.

Feels like Spring!

We are enjoying the good weather today. We had the overhead door open in the small room so we could run in and out all we wanted. The picture is of us hanging out on the ramp outside the door with Carol (Human). We did a lot of playing and a little sun bathing, too.
Playing today are Lily (Weimeraner), Mason (Border Collie), Jackson (Border Collie), Molly (Mountain Cur), Molly (Puggle), Sage (Pug), Tiki (Golden Retriever), Tiffany (Cocker/Bichon), and the triplets - Reba, Dolly and Trisha (Lab/Hound).

Terrific Tuesday

What fun group today! I played with Rowdy (Boxer), Molly (Beagle), Guinness (Terrier mix), Molly (Yorkie/Bichon), Tiki (Golden Retriever), Reba (Lab/Hound), Trisha (Lab/Hound), Dolly (Lab/Hound), and Tiffany (Cocker/Bichon). We weren't as obsessed with the tunnel as we were yesterday. Tiki and Rowdy really like each other. Maybe Rowdy will become Tiki's Tuesday boyfriend. She has Cooper as her Monday/Thursday boyfriend already.
In the large room today were JJ (Lab mix), Koco (Lab), Molly (Mountain Cur), Jackson (Border Collie), Mason (Border Collie) and Breezie (Boxer). JJ liked to climb to the top of the big slide and run into the little fort underneath it. Koco just wants to be wherever JJ is, or wrestling with her new BFF, Breezie. Mason chased balls, while Jackson kept everything in order.
We had a nice visit from the Alburtis fire department today. They were stopping by for a tour and to discuss our evacuation plans in case there is ever a fire. Mommy says we should all run to the nice men we met today if we ever see them in an emergency. I think that's good advice. They may have food. Mommy made sure that the fire fighters met our foster puppies before they left. A couple seemed interested. Although the girls seem to love it here, I'm sure they'd like to have a house to go home to at night.

Is the weekend really over already?

We are starting the week with a small crowd and are getting ourselves warmed up for a super busy Tuesday. Today we have Koco (Lab), Cooper (Golden Retriever), Chico (Lhasa Poo), Tiffany (Cocker Bichon), Tiki (Golden), Reba (Lab/Hound), Trisha (Lab/Hound), Dolly (Lab/Hound) and me (Beagle). We have really been excited about the tunnel in the small room today. It's the same tunnel that has been in there every day, but today it is amazing! We have wrestled in it, run through it, walked through it, and layed down in it. What fun! Cooper, Tiki and Koco were running and wrestling outside of the tunnel, too.
I stopped by this weekend to help mommy with puppy class. I also got to play for a little while with the Saturday daycare dogs and boarders. Apparently, I just can't get enough of this place. Mommy let me take the day off on Sunday.

Come on Spring!

I am getting a little tired of going potty on the snow. I hear things are going to warm up around here this weekend, and I can't wait!
Today we are having a much quieter day than yesterday. Reba (Lab/Hound), Trisha (Lab/Hound), Dolly (Lab/Hound), Tiki (Golden Retriever), Koco (Lab), Guinness (Terrier mix), Tiffany (Cocker Bichon) and I had a good time playing together. We didn't have a lot of crazy running and wrestling, like yesterday. We were happy to have Koco join us to play after her time off for recovery from her spay.
We have two new friends joining us for the afternoon. Quigley (Yorkshire Terrier) and Ronaldo (Lhasa Apso), along with two returning guests, Pumpkin (Golden/Border Collie Mix) and Abby (Lab/Border Collie Mix).

It's like a party!

Today is super busy here at the Lodge. It feels like we are having a party. We are welcoming another new dog, Rowdy (Boxer). Rowdy is playing with Cooper (Golden Retriever), Tiki (Golden Retriever), Reba (Lab/Hound), Trisha (Lab/Hound), Dolly (Lab/Hound), and Chico (Lhasa Poo). Also in the small room today are Molly (Beagle), Bruno (Beagle), Callie (Sheltie), Jackson (Border Collie) and Mason (Border Collie). Jackson seems to be in charge today. He's keeping an eye on everyone while Mason chases balls. Molly, Bruno and Callie are splitting the day between keeping the beds and bench warm and mingling with the crowd.
Rowdy's big sister, Breezie (Boxer), is also here today, but she's playing in the big room. Breezie has a great time wrestling with JJ (Lab mix) and Blitz (Bearded mix). Dodger (Golden Retriever) and Molly (Mountain Cur) are not into wrestling. Neither is Molly (Bearded Collie) who likes to chase balls like Mason.

Koco (Lab) has just one day left until her stitches are out. I'm sure she would have been right in the middle of the wrestling with JJ, Breezie and Blitz.

Snow won't keep us away

Although the local schools were all delayed today, Cold Nose Lodge opened right on time. We were ready to play! The foster puppies (Lab/Hound mix) did well their first night here. They now have names. Because they like to sing, they are named Trisha, Reba and Dolly. They are getting along with everyone here so well. They aren't quite beagle cute, but they are close. :)
Molly (Mountain Cur), Jackson (Border Collie), Mason (Border Collie), Sage (Pug), Tiki (Golden Retriever), and Lily (Weimeraner) are here to play today.
In a shocking development, Mason actually seemed a little tired for a few minutes today. He can normally play non-stop. Sage came in later in the day and really shook up the crowd just before nap. She loves being chased around the room. I don't think she cares if there is one dog or 10 chasing her. She just beams. Lily is really settling in nicely with us. She isn't into wrestling like the puppies, but likes to trot around the room and check on everyone.
I got to visit with Koco (Lab) for a little while. She still has two more days until her stitches come out and she's allowed back in the crowd. Being spayed is so worth it though. I hear that having puppies can do a number on your figure.
The building is quiet for nap time. I think that last run with Sage has everyone worn out. I am tired. I can barely dictate my blog for mommy to type.
Molly (Puggle) came to play for the afternoon. She likes to run around with Sage.

Our new fosters are here!

Boy are things lively in the small dog room today. We have three new foster puppies, all girls. My mommy says they are lab/hound mixes. One of them has the most beautiful singing voice, she sounds just like me. They still need names, so we are going to try to pick some today. Mattie (English Bulldog) and JJ (Lab mix) really like playing with the biggest puppy. Molly (Mountain cur) is fascinated by them. She keeps watching them and following them around. Tiki (Golden Retriever) had a good time playing with them at first, but decided taking a nap is more fun.
Koco (Lab) is here again recovering from surgery. We are all counting down the days until she can play with us. I know she is, too.

Jackson (Border Collie) and Mason (Border Collie) are going to join us later today. I wonder what they will think of the puppies.
We almost had a three Molly day, but the other two cancelled this morning. Darn snow! We'll try again next week. Maybe mommy can name the puppies all Molly. Tee hee!

Did Betty see her shadow?

I saw my shadow today, just like Punxsutawney Phil. Looks like we are in for more winter. For some reason, I didn't have the crowd of 13,000 people to watch me like Phil did.

Today I played mostly with Chico (Lhasa Poo), but I also took some time to play tug with the Golden Retrievers, Tiki and Cooper. Those two just can't get enough of each other. Molly (Beagle) and Molly (Mountain Cur) were also here to play with me today. Molly (MC) was fascinated by the puppies and at times seemed to act like their mother, watching to be sure they didn't play too hard. She is a sweetheart.

Koco (Lab) came to visit, but she still isn't allowed to play because she has stitches. Hopefully she will be fully recovered from her spay and have her stitches out by the end of the week, so she can wrestle with us again. The rest of us played in the small room, so she could have the large room to herself.
